Our Pizzastein is a real natural product, sawn from a natural stone, minded in Sprockhövel (North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany). The stone colour is mostly gray with dark colour variations. The surfaces are specially sanded, which facilitates maintenance.
 
With our Pizzastein your bread and pizza will be as delicious as baked in a brick oven. Each stone is handmade with great attention to detail. The technical properties of the stone are ideal. It stores heat, is heat-resistant, acid-resistant and very easy to care for.
 
Our pizza / bread baking stone is suitable for every electric oven, gas or charcoal grill. Ideally suited for inside and outside. Also highly recommended as a hot stone or "hot plate".

The stone consists of high-quality Ruhrsandstein and is a food-safe natural product. It is not a cheap, crumbly chamotte, which almost always has a relatively rough surface, but it`s even (double lifetime, as it can be used on both sides). You surely be able to enjoy your pizza stone for quite a long time
Dimensions: 40 cm x 30 cm x 2 cm (fits perfectly in almost every normal oven).
 
Please note the thickness of 2 cm. We also offer thinner stones. However, the thinner ones got the disadvantage that they store less heat and also tend to break easier. It is important to get as much heat as possible into the dough as quickly as possible. It is not for nothing that professional pizza ovens are sometimes heated to over 400 ° C. So the thickness of the stone is a crucial factor, as a thicker stone simply stores more heat than a thin stone.
 
Even high temperatures are not a problem for this stone, so you can heat it up in a gas grill or charcoal grill. Accumulated heat and one-sided heating should be avoided. No shock heating!

The stone stores the heat and transfers it quickly to the pizza, which ensures the pizza to be as crispy and tasty as the ones in an italian restaurant from a brick oven.
 
The stone needs to be preheated in the oven at the highest level for about 30-60 minutes- After that the stone has the right temperature (the hotter the better) and your pizza will be ready and delicious after just a few minutes.
 

Of course not only pizza, but also bread, tarte flambée, fish, meat, vegetables or cream stains will get super crispy and delicious with the Pizzastein. Even a frozen pizza (especially the ones from the cooling shelf or the ones that have not been pre-baked) is a whole lot better with the stone. The stone is of course new and unused. The best Pizzaplate / Pizza stone for bbq or your oven.
